I spy with my little eye a can of Polar in the badlands pic. You may be corny, girl, but you were seltzer-fed.

    1. All of the Treats are blown away with this incredible adventure!! We wish you sunshine each day and wind at your backs. Can’t wait to see future posts. You’re an inspiration to all of us. Sleep well and we’ll check in tomorrow.

  7. The bridge experience sounded awesome! Good thing you didn’t need gas from the guy with the gun!! YIKES! With the price of gas I see the need for the gun!! Looks like you guys are coming up on 400 miles or more!! Congrats!!!

  8. Alright, your descriptions of Day 8 and 9 really brought it home about what an amazing trip this is! Glad that your leg strength has caught up to your ambition and a 74 mile day is not a struggle. Saw the USCG boat in the distance past the eagle!

  9. Wow! This trip has exceeded expectations! So pleased to see the weather improve and you had a tailwind! I’m loving all the posts. The pics and your description of each day are simply amazing. 10. Love the comments. We just finished our ride today, Lise is golfing (on her birthday!) We are I n a town called Bandon, OR. Kirsten and I are strolling in town and about to reward ourselves with a cold one at the beach🍻

  11. Loving the daily narratives, and the photos are AMAZING – especially when I consider that you are sending only a few pictures a day and so know that there are yet other beautiful scenes.

    Keep pedaling – and journalling.

      Hey Brad:
I’m glad to hear that you are reading, Missed last night, exhausted. But keep an eye out soon for a summary of that amazing day. We took a day off today and visited the Redwood National Park with Lise. We will ride the Avenue of the Giants…Can’t wait. You can’t beat seeing these sights on a bicycle. Looking forward to August and September Rides with the crew!

Lats and Kristen – this is an amazing journey. You will have stories to tell about this trip for years to come. Stay strong and stay pedaling.
love the journals and the photos. Redwood trees are amazing.

  13. Wow! Your journal is so popular that you’re getting spammed by Crypto bots! Love seeing the notes and the amazing pics. Ride on!

  14. RE: The Pictures – When I read articles in Bicycling about trips like this, I look at the pictures and think, “Wow, they had these three or four oustandingly beautiful days,” but you post those sorts of pictures every day – I am stunned and humbled by the non-stop beauty. Keep ’em coming.

  15. Lars, I’m so sorry to hear about your mom’s passing. You truly honor her memory and her love of family with your reflections on the day and your determination to continue the trip with Kirsten and Lise.

  16. I am so impressed by this adventure! What an amazing thing to do together. I love seeing the photos and reading your reflections.
And, I loved reading your thoughts and memories about your mom/Farmor and her sense of adventure; she is riding with you!

  17. So sorry to hear about your mother and Kirsten’s grandmother. I hope that the biking provides balm, contemplation, and celebration.
